The following are slides for a short talk I presented to the Canterbury Software Cluster on 5 July 2016.

My goal was to show how understanding a dashboard user journey helps identify ways to make the dashboard a delight for the user.

Key points for dashboards or reports you’re creating are to:

  • present data
  • present change of that data over time
  • present how that data is tracking against a desired future state
