Recently I’ve had time with a couple of Canterbury SharePoint gurus.
They recommended the following SharePoint resources which you will probably find really useful.
For those of you wedded to Microsoft tools this is the application glue that quite a few other providers have had for a while e.g. If This Then That. Flow lets you build up automated actions, (simple at present) so you can do things like add tweets to a SharePoint list, or peoples names for follow up etc.
The team at ArtfulBits provide plugins for SharePoint that have traditionally taken a lot of hard work to achieve.
e.g. Cascading lookup columns or an easy way to add indicator (traffic light) columns
